Yvonne Schmidt
Yvonne Schmidt read Theatre Studies, Comparative Literature, and Modern German Literature at the universities of Mainz, Paris III, and Bern. She has been pursuing doctoral work on the interfaces of non-professional acting at the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Bern since 2008. She has been a research associate at the ZHdK Institute for the Performing Arts and Film since 2008, responsible amongst others for the SNF/DORE research projects «Brennpunkt: Theater mit nicht professionellen Darstellern» (2008-09) and «Ästhetik des Freilichttheaters» (2010-11). Her core research areas include authenticity in theatre, actor discourse, disability studies, and costume research.
